Let’s Talk About Scaling Your UV Brand
Launching a UV product is about way more than just slapping a logo on a box. If you’ve ever tried to build one, you know the hardware side can be a total headache. You have to decide right from the start: are you trying to kill germs or cure resins? That’s where we come in. We handle the messy electrical and optical engineering so you can actually spend your time growing the business. The Physics (and the Heat) Here’s the thing: the science changes based on what you’re doing. If you’re going for sterilization, we dial in that 253.7nm UVC peak to wreck microbial DNA. But if you’re curing, we shift toward UVA or UVB to get those resins to set. We can tweak the wattage and tube length to hit the exact power density you need. Just a heads-up—high-wattage tubes are great for speed, but they gethot. Really hot. You’ll want to think about your cooling fans or water jackets now, otherwise, your materials might start warping. Getting the Hardware to Fit Nobody wants a nightmare installation. We offer a bunch of different lamp shapes and connectors—G10q, R7s, or just custom lead wires—so the parts actually fit into your machinery without a fight. We’ll wire everything to match your ballast requirements. Then there’s the quartz sleeve. It’s a bit of a trade-off. High-purity fused quartz lets the most UV through, but it’s fragile. If your gear is going to be tossed around in a gritty factory, let’s go with reinforced housing or some heavy-duty shielding instead. Where We Stop and You Start Think of us as the engine room. We provide the lamp, the ballast, and the reflector. You handle the look, the feel, and the branding. We can even customize the spectrum by messing with the gas fill or the quartz coating. But keep in mind, if we crank up the intensity, the lamp won’t last as long. We’ll give you the decay curves so you can tell your customers exactly when it’s time for a replacement. You build the brand. We’ll make sure the tech actually works.
